Telefex Opens International Headquarters in Athlone
US surgical device provider Telefex opened its newly-constructed Global Operations and International headquarters in Athlone on Tuesday, November 15.
The 45,000 square-foot facility, located in the IDA Business & Technology Park, houses a laboratory and office space and is intended to serve as the location for Teleflex’s global operations. Teleflex has operated in Athlone since 2007, expanded its employee base from seven to approximately 200.
“This state of the art facility is a testament to the success of Teleflex in Athlone and provides scope for future growth and job creation in such an important area, medical technologies,” said Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mary Mitchell O’Connor, “this investment will have long-term benefits, not just for Teleflex but for the wider Midlands Region.”
