DataCentres-IrelandDataCentres Ireland returned to the RDS this week for its fourth year.

Industry and Business Magazine were a media sponsor which meant we got the opportunity to chat with innovative exhibitors and expert speakers.

The event, which was held in the Industries Hall, had a great buzz right from the set-up. Exhibitors packed up their pull-up posters and travelled from all over the UK, Europe and The US to partake in the event.

The two-day event combines both a dedicated exhibition and a adjacent multi-streamed conference, which gave attendees access to the latest in information, best practice, products, services and solutions facilitated by industry leaders.

DataCentres Ireland addressed every aspect of planning, designing and operating a datacentre, server room, storage facility or solution.

PE power interview

Speaking with Padraig Smith of PSE Power about their 30 years in business

Ireland hosts nine of the top ten world leading IT companies. Companies such as Google, LinkedIn, Apple and Facebook have selected Ireland as their base for data centres.

As part of Industry and Business TV we interviewed a great variety of exhibitors over the two days: The likes of UK firm Square Mile Systems who have recently established a base here in Ireland to assist with their Irish clients needs. Rahi Systems who are a global one-stop-shop for data centres have multiple Irish clients. Irish company PSE Power offer power protection solutions to the likes of Google. US based data centre commissioning firm, Primary Integration, have recently established their European headquarters here in Dublin.

We spoke to many more interesting companies involved in data centres here in Ireland, we will be posting all our interviews from the day on Industry and Business TV.

The consensus amongst exhibitors yesterday was that data centres will continue their rapid growth here. Manufacturers, suppliers and those involved in data centre solutions all have a positive outlook for their futures, and the future of data centres, here in Ireland.
