Nursing home group Carechoice bring a further 200 jobs to Ireland
Carechoice, a retirement and nursing home group, is to create 200 jobs with the opening of a new purpose-built 165-room facility in north Dublin .
The company already employs 400 people and operates five homes across Cork and Waterford that provide care for approximately 338 residents.
Carechoice’s new facility is based on the Malahide Road. The company said it has also recently submitted planning permission for another 165-bed facility in Swords.
The new jobs being created include nurses; health care assistants; managers, activity leaders and catering staff. The group said it expected a further 500 temporary jobs to be created during the construction phase
Speaking at the announcement, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said: “I very much welcome that Carechoice will be expanding their operation and opening a purpose-built care home on the Malahide Road, creating jobs in the healthcare sector for Dublin.
“With an increasing number of people over 65 in Ireland, quality care is something that will affect all families and I welcome the opening of this care centre. I wish Carechoice, their team all the best with their future expansion,” the minister added.
