New Study Shows That Workers Expect to Change Rolls After Two Years
As a result of a recent study, it was found than many Irish people feel the need to change jobs in order to gain new skills, gain new experience, and stay up to date in a rapidly changing world.
Recruiters found in a Cpl Employment Market Monitor that half of those seeking new jobs only plan to work in the same position for two years before moving on to another role.
Director of Cpl Resources, Peter Cosgrove believes that it’s only a matter of time before the robots replace workers in lower level, tedious, manual labor roles. It’s already starting and it will continue.
As the world progresses, it is unlikely that people will be able to rely on the same job for the rest of their working lives, which is why so many people feel the need to regularly seek new jobs to gain more experience.
This study also showed that more workers would rather work with a company that offered more opportunities rather than higher pay.
