National jobs week 2015 takes off today
National Jobs Week 2015 takes off today running until October 2nd.
All this week every region in the country will be holding a series of events that will focus on helping jobseekers become job ready.
Events will include Jobs Fairs, Career Advice Workshops, networking events with employers and briefings for employers on the services offered by the Department of Social Protection.
The Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection, Kevin Humphreys commented, “Many Employers and organisations will be in attendance at various events where they will advise on new positions and roles vacant in their companies. I urge all jobseekers to attend an event that best suits their needs.
“For example employers from a broad range of industries including retail, food, healthcare, cosmetics, IT and property seeking to fill vacancies will be attending events. Jobseekers will have an opportunity to meet with these employers who will give practical career advice on CV preparation, interview skills training and career guidance.”
