Jameson Distillery to receive €11m makeover

The Old Jameson Distillery in Smithfield is to receive an €11m makeover.The distillery will close at the end of August due to the reconstruction which will involve 100 jobs for the period. The distillery will then officially reopen in March 2017.
The whiskey attraction currently gets 600,000 tourists a year.
General Manager Ray Dempsey said: “When we next open our doors you’re going to see what makes our whiskey loved the world over, with live immersive experiences delivered with the personal touch, helping to bring this story to life.”
