Indeed, the world’s leading job site, today announced expansion plans for its Dublin-based headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), adding 300 new employees in the next two years. The company has already started recruiting for sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations roles, which will help companies across EMEA to maximise the return on their recruitment spend, while continuing to offer the best job search experience for job seekers.

Indeed has sites in more than 50 countries and 28 languages. Unlike most job sites which only show paid listings, Indeed brings together the most job listings from employer career sites, staffing agencies, job boards, and newspaper career pages. Every month over 180 million job seekers find and apply for jobs on Indeed through a desktop, tablet, or smartphone with a single search. Indeed makes it easy for job seekers to create job alerts which notify them as soon as new jobs are posted meeting their unique criteria.

Indeed opened its first Dublin office in March 2012 and currently has a team of over 230 employees. Indeed has been supported by the Department of Jobs through IDA Ireland.

In Ireland Indeed has over 800,000 unique visitors each month, with an increase in traffic of 40% in the past 12 months as the economy improves and the site gains in popularity. There has been a notable shift in the way people search for jobs, with 54% of searches on Indeed.ie now via mobile or tablet compared to 33% just 2 years ago.

Chris Hyams, President of Indeed said, “Today’s announcement demonstrates Indeed’s long term commitment to Ireland and our confidence, both in the strengthening Irish economy and in the deep pool of talent that Ireland offers. When we opened our Irish office in 2012 we had ambitious growth plans for Indeed and Ireland has played an integral role in our international expansion. We now have 230 employees, representing 18 nationalities in our Dublin office serving job seekers and employers all over the word. We plan to more than double the size of our Irish team by 2017 to continue to expand globally, find better ways to match candidates with employers, and make it easier for people to get jobs.”

Recent research published by Indeed shows that Dublin is one of six leading “tech hub” cities in Europe for opportunities to work in technology, with nearly one in every fourteen available jobs coming from the sector.
