IKEA to create 30 new jobs with the opening of second Dublin store
Swedish retail giant IKEA is to open its second outlet in Dublin this Summer with the creation up to 30 new jobs.
The home furnishings company has agreed a lease with property group Iput that will see it lease 15,000 sq ft premises at The Park in Carrickmines.
It will be a scaled-down version of the massive store in Ballymun, and will include Ikea’s first order and collection point in Ireland, which will allow customers to collect orders made online.
IKEA will open its first “Order and Collection Point” in Carrickmines in south Dublin as part of its expansion programme in the Irish market.
While the new store will not carry the full product range to take home, customers will be able to order from the full range available at the IKEA Dublin Store for home delivery or for collection at the collection point.
A small range of products will also be available for customers to take home on the day of their visit.
