Network performance and security management company Fastcom is to create 25 new jobs in Sligo on the back of €1.2 million investment.

Over the next three years, the company will recruit people with expertise in network engineering and customer support to work at its new Sligo network operations and security centre.

The growth is being financed through private and director investment.

Founded in Sligo in 2004, Fastcom provides a range of connectivity and network operations services for multi-site retailers across Ireland and the UK.

As well as expanding its operations in Ireland and the UK, Fastcom currently has business prospects in Singapore, Holland and Belgium.

Fastcom, founded in 2004, is one of Ireland’s largest independently-owned telecoms providers. With offices in Dublin and Sligo, the company services customers across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Its customers range in size from the personal, residential user to large indigenous and multinational organisations and cross all sectors including government, healthcare, retail, logistics, and education.
