Euromedic creates 100 jobs with Affidea rebrand
Affidea, a Diagnostic healthcare provider, is to create 100 jobs over the next 18 months as part of a new €15 million investment.
The company, which was previously known as Euromedic, said the new positions will be a mix of clinical and administrative roles.
Affidea, which announced its rebrand on Thursday, entered the Irish market in March 2007 with the acquisition of MRI Ireland.
It currently employs over 135 full-time staff and diagnostic centres in Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny and Naas. The company also provides MRI services in Sligo General Hospitaland the Ulster Independent Clinic in Belfast.
Affidea acquired Vista Medical Imaging in Naas, Co Kildare for an undisclosed sum in May bringing its total investment in Ireland to date to €55 million.
“The creation of over 100 new jobs means that our current and new clinics will be able to serve a greater number of patients, quickly, professionally and to the highest of standards,” said Affidea Ireland chief executive Tom Finn.
Affidea Ireland also said on Thursday it intends to provide gamma knife treatment to patients on the island of Ireland.
