Chopped creating 30 jobs in newly opened store

000c92cf-642Chopped, the health-focused fast-food retailer has opened a new outlet in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre in Dublin. The new outlet will be retailers biggest in the chain’s portfolio creating 30 new jobs and is an equal partnership between Chopped and franchisee Cathal Pendred and involves an investment of €250,000.

Cathal Pendred was announced as Chopped’s first official franchisee in November 2015 and the new store opening follows months of planning and investment of over €250K.

The store in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre will follow Chopped newly opened stores in Grafton Street, Maxol Mulhuddart Rathmines, Sandyford and Tallaght.

Chopped’s ongoing expansion plan will bring the number of Chopped employees to 320 by the end of 2016.

Chopped was founded in 2012 by Brian Lee and Andy Chen, and focuses on healthy and quick meals and drinks.

Brian Lee said the company had been working hard over the last year to find the perfect spot for a new Chopped, adding that the Blanchardstown outlet has seating for over 52 people.
