Technical support services company Trusource Labs have announced the establishment of an international operations centre in Limerick, which is set to create 134 jobs over three years.

Trusource will be based on the site of the old Anglo Irish Bank on Henry Street, near the centre of Limerick city. Co-founder Alton Martin indicated that the presence of the IDA in America was a key factor in their engagement with the process of establishing operations in Ireland.

He said: “We are enthusiastic to bring our innovative customer experience model to Ireland. It is our first step in a larger global growth plan, and we are grateful for IDA’s partnership and support.”

The company, headquartered in Austin, Texas, offers a range of services to technology companies that specialise in the Internet of Things, as well as support for companies that use Apple devices.

Their solutions focus on minimising the need for customers to phone for technical support, by focusing on ways to enhance the customer’s experience from purchase, installation and activation of the product or service. They provide omni-channel support via phone, email, social, chat and video in multiple languages.

Commenting on the news, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mary Mitchell O’Connor called Trusource’s investment “a strong vote of confidence for Ireland”, and added that “these are exactly the kind of high quality technical jobs that we seek to attract.”

Minister for Employment and Small Business Pat Breen, meanwhile, also welcomed the news and the “positive knock on effect on the wider region”. He also urged all relevant parties to “continue to work to ensure further opportunities for investment and job creation in our regions.”
