Established in order to recognise excellence and raise standards across Ireland’s manufacturing industry and its associated supply chains, the 2020 IMR Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards are now open for entry to all companies on the island of Ireland.

First introduced last year, the IMR Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards showcase exceptional achievement, teamwork and innovation in Irish manufacturing. They are unique in recognising not only the achievements of Irish manufacturing companies but also of collaborating teams within them.

Covering 15 categories spanning the full spectrum of the Irish manufacturing industry, the Awards competition will highlight the implementation of smart thinking to enable competitive manufacturing, while reflecting Ireland’s capacity to deliver world class manufacturing and attract inward investment.

The winners of the 2020 IMR Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards will be announced at a special ceremony and gala dinner in the Citywest Hotel in Dublin on the evening of Wednesday, 29 January 2020.

The Awards are run by Premier Publishing & Events, the Dublin-based international conference and exhibition organiser and publisher, in association with Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR), the independent not-for-profit Research Organisation, funded under the Enterprise Ireland/IDA Technology Centres programme, to provide applied research solutions and advanced manufacturing expertise, technology transfer and training to the manufacturing sector in Ireland.

15 Categories

The 2020 IMR Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards encompass the following categories:

* Micro/SME Manufacturing Company of the Year

* Smart Factory Manufacturer of the Year

* Best Supply Chain Innovation

* Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year

* Best Training & Development Program

* Engineering Manufacturing Team of the Year

* Large Manufacturing Company of the Year

* ICT Manufacturing Team of the Year

* Life Sciences Manufacturing Team of the Year

* Industry Research Partnership of the Year

* Best Use of Robotics

* Health & Safety Project of the Year

* Contract Manufacturer of the Year

* Product Innovation and Design

* Lean Manufacturing Company of the Year.

A company can enter a maximum of three categories.

Closing Date and Judging Panel

The closing date for entry is October 7th, 2019. The finalists will be announced during December 2019

The Awards Judging Panel comprises: Eoin O’Driscoll, Chairman of the Tyndall National Institute; Caroline Spillane, Director General of Engineers Ireland; Dr Christopher Keely, Senior Business Development Manager at Trinity College Dublin; Prof Eamonn Murphy, MD of Irish Centre for Business Excellence, UL; Bob Barbour, Director and Chief Executive of the Centre for Competitiveness; John F. Whelan, Independent Consultant – Specialising in International Trade; and Barry Kennedy, CEO of Irish Manufacturing Research.

The Awards presentation dinner will be a fitting conclusion to the opening day of the 2020 National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition taking place at the CityWest Convention Centre on 29–30 of January. The 2019 National Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition set new records in terms of its scale and visitor numbers, attracting more than 5,000 people from all over Ireland.
